1. BE ENTHUSIASTIC – sell the employer on your ability. The job he is talking about is important and he wants someone who is genuinely interested in his company and his job opening.
2. Never talk against a former employer. State reasons for leaving calmly, briefly and truthfully.
3. Look the employer straight in the eyes, indicating that you are interested in what is being discussed.
4. Be prepared to answer questions about your qualifications – be concise and stress your strong points – this is no moment for modesty.
5. Be prepared to answer questions, i.e. “What can you offer our company? Why do you want to work for us? What kind of job are you after?”
