what is a descent tip, if any, if you got the salad bar at sizzlers? ?

Posted on October 24th, 2009 by admin

For those of you that don’t know what the salad bar at sizzler’s is, it is an all you can eat buffet at a fairly cheap dine in restaurant. Considering it is a buffet and i’m getting the food myself as well as the extra plates, and the only think the server is doing is refilling my drinks should the tip still stand at 15% or more or less. The check for the salad bar is i think like $4.99.

Be real!! You don’t have to leave a tip if you got no service. The people here must be waiters themselves and they just want you to give them some money. No one gave me any money for working at my job today. Don’t leave them a tip. It’s not mandatory. It’s voluntary.

Why does the electric cut in and out?

Posted on October 24th, 2009 by admin

My uncle bought a bar and I’ve been helping to fix up a lot of the electric, the other night we were in the kitchen (I work as a cook there too) and the lights, stoves, and everything else electrical except the stereo started turning on and off. It was almost like someone was flipping a master switch that controlled everything, I thought I could hear a clicking form a switch to, though that may have been the stove or somethingturning on and off. It wasn’t just the kitchen thuogh, it was at the bar and dining room too. anyone have any ideas it does this? He says it does it every now and then.

Might be a defective breaker, have th wiring and breakers checked

Posted on October 20th, 2009 by admin

DIning at Gotham Bar and Grill on E 12th Street on Saturday night and looking for somewhere nice for a drink nearby after the meal. Will be myself and my girlfriend, both around the 30 mark. Not after a loud nightclub more a nice bar which is quite lively. Any suggestions much appreciated.

What makes a good night out in Sydney?

Posted on October 18th, 2009 by admin

We are spending a week in central Sydney in October and need to know what you’d recommend in the way of dining, bars or just places to be at night…………..??
Cheers
Rich
Stuart, you are a t@sser
Timsdad.
I went out with Bridget from Melbourne and she was like the place – miserable and cold…. Funny guy huh?

It really depends on your budget, most of the places on the harbour are expensive and very average food – unless you’ve got the cash to try the top resturants – in which case try Cafe Sydney in Customs house – it’s really lovely with amazing views.
A drink at the Opera Bar as the sun sets is very Sydney, and will only cost you the price of a beer!
King Street Wharf has the best bars on the water – bungalow 8 is great atmosphere with excellent bar food – and if you’re over 25 upstairs ‘the loft’ is great! I love sydney – enjoy!

What is the name of the restaurant/bar on the water in Boston?

Posted on October 16th, 2009 by admin

I’m sure there are many, but I was at a place several years ago that had an outside bar/dining place. I don’t remember exactly where it was, but I’m pretty sure it was close to Faneuil Hall/Gov’t Center, perhaps on a pier? It wasn’t Anthony’s Pier 4 – it was further north. Maybe through the north end?

More importantly, I’m looking for a place to meet friends for casual dinner/drinks on Saturday night. We’re all coming from different locations out of town. We want a place that is nice, but not expensive. We’re in our early 30’s, so we don’t want something better suited for the 21-yr-old crowd.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
It’s not Tia’s or Tavern on the Water, though both of those places look nice.

The Crab House..

is it proper for me to approach a table in fine dining and ask can i start u out with something from the bar?

server

I would ask if they want something to drink. Some people would assume if you say bar that they would have to order an alcoholic beverage.
