Would you dine at a benihana type of restaurant alone?

Posted on November 10th, 2009 by admin

I am on business and there is a favorite restaurant of mine here where people watch the chef cook in front of them, i am just hesitant to go alone. Ive dined alone before, but never at this type of restaurant. Im fairly confident I will be okay if i go for a late lunch, where its not too crowded. what do you think???

I have gone to Benihana’s alone several times and have not had any problems. It is a nice experience practicing striking up a conversation with total strangers. Now for the time, if you have not done this before you might want to stick to a busy time like during dinner. During lunch people are lin a hurry and tend not to talk. Early or late meal you may have a partial table and, I feel that the best way to enjoy this type of restaurant is with a crowd, it just doesn’t matter if you knwo these people or not.

How much are you willing to pay for a hamburger at a fine dining restaurant?

Posted on November 7th, 2009 by admin

When you eat out at a fine dining restaurant, you are going to pay more for a hamburger than getting it at a fast food restaurant which cost usually less than $2.00. When you go to a fine dining restaurant, how much are you willing to spend on a hamburger or specialty burger?

for a real fine one 7.99-14.99

Do you have a favorite meal or two there? Or better put, could you tell me your favorite entree or two from there?

Restaurant Reviews – How can I dine out cheaper?

Posted on October 28th, 2009 by admin

Hey, I have heard that there is a restaurant reviews website out there that allows you to buy restaurant certificates for a few dollars and gives you a 40% discount on 1,000’s of restaurants out there!

Well, I’m glad you asked– because I know exactly what restaurant reviews site you are talking about. The site below I use to eat out for about 50% off! It saves me a boat load of money!

How much does it cost (in US$) to dine at the Carnivore restaurant in Nairobi? Are prior reservations needed..

Posted on October 26th, 2009 by admin

…or can we just walk in and find seats? Do hotels in Nairobi provide shuttles to and from the Carnivore?

Who cares about the cost. You have to go. That restaurant is AMAZING!!! When I lived in Kenya we didn’t have to make reservations but it might help if you do. I just checked a site that said it was $65 US to eat there. That’s flat price with a soup/salad, drink, tons of meat, coffee, and desert. I’d bring extra money just in case though.

Enjoy!

There is so much more to go into than can be said here, but I do have a web site that is for food and beverage people and a lot of help is given on the site. Yes, it’s all free, A google ad click here and there wouldn’t hurt though. Anyway the site is – http://www.foodandbeverageunderground.com

You want to check out the "Owners Place" and "Road to Opening" sections. If you need any further information feel free to contact me via the contact page on the site.

How often do you go out to eat a restaurant? In what price range do you usually dine out? ?

Posted on October 22nd, 2009 by admin

What is the last type of food you went to a restaurant for?

Me: once or twice a week, $20-30 U.S. dollars for two people, Indian buffet.

Yeah, same here, few times a week, $20-40. Well that was before the great depression.
