Disney Dining Plan- any $$ limits for kids if no kids menu?

Posted on October 20th, 2009 by admin

I have a 9 year old son who’s still is on the kids menu. If we go to a restaurant with no kids menu is there a limit to what he can order on the regular menu? i.e. lobster or crab from a seafood restaurant?

A few restaurants limit what anyone on DDP (not just kids) can order, but we didn’t run into any problems. I don’t know of any table service restaurants that don’t have a kids’ menu, and there are only a handful of counter service places. The first link below lists seven counter service restaurants which have no kids’ menus.

Hope this helps. We used DDP with a 9-year-old and, while he was occasionally disappointed in the choices, we always managed to find something for him.

Disney Dining Plan- what do children order off of if there is no Kid’s menu- the regular menu?

Posted on October 16th, 2009 by admin

We just returned from Disney on Monday. We ate at Narcoossee’s, Fultons Crab House (both upperscale restaurants), Chef Mickeys, Seafire Inn (Makahiki Luau at Seaworld), The Crystal Palace, Cinderella’s Royal Palace, and Boma Flavors of Africa. Four of those were buffets which always serve childrens food. The other places also had children’s menus. They all seem to serve the same choices, which are chicken strips, mac & cheese, spagetti, or hotdogs. In Orlando, I don’t know what restaurant you’re referring to specifically, but I would think that they would all have something to offer children, considering it is Disney. If they don’t maybe they are trying to hint that it’s a much more upscale restaurant, and if you do have children you should rethink bringing them there for dinner or get a sitter.

What’s the name of this great riverside restaurant in Middlebury, VT?

Posted on October 12th, 2009 by admin

It wasn’t Mr. Up’s unless the place changed hands. It’s right on the main drag of town just down from the street to middlebury. It had a great menu (finer dining) and a porch right on the river – I’m pretty sure the building was white. I was there as a student of the middlebury language progam many years ago – I want to go back and I’ll be really said if it’s gone.

nkb

I can remember a few names: Fire and Ice? Dog Team Tavern? Oh, try this list: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurants-g57318-Middlebury_Vermont.html

I need a name for my new Restaurant in Las Vegas?

Posted on October 7th, 2009 by admin

Our focus is Californian cuisine with a touch of Oaxacan flavors. Oaxaca is justly famous worldwide for its vibrant, inventive, and diverse cuisine.Oaxaca is a South Western State of Mexico. This type of food is not what most people call mexican food. We are an upscale – dining restaurant. The menu will be inspired from the flavors of Oaxaca a south-Eastern region of Mexico who has made significant contributions to the flavors of the world – especially with its extraordinary mole (mo-lay) sauces. Lastly we are not a Mexican Restaurnat.
