Would you dine at a restaurant if you knew the owner treated the help badly?

No. A happy staff means good food & good service (or at least a good attempt at doing so).

Probably not because then the staff would be unhappy which would lead to bad cooking and bad service and negative ambience

No. I wouldn’t. Just like I know Walmart treats their employees badly, so I don’t shop there.

It the same sort of principle
You wouldn’t buy make-up if you knew an animal had suffered badly just to make it
That’s if you’re into animal rights
    But no i wouldn’t

    I personally wouldn’t.
But it depends on how much equality and kindness matters to you. If it matters to you, then dine elsewhere. :)

Maybe i will. I go there to dine, not to see how they treat their staff or other people. The most important thing is, how good is their cook.

No, and I would tell the owner why I am not ever going to patronize his restaurant and also tell him that I am telling friends and co-workers— if he loses business it is his own fault-

Nope. I actually just went to a restaurant where the owner was downright cruel and condescending to the wait staff. We did stay and I left a huge tip for the waitress but there is no way I’d go back… unless of course I was there to organize a union lol.

Why sure! if I have not recently had a case of "dang near died" food poisoning and would like to. The employees have the opportunity to strike back unfairly thru the customers. Even if it isn’t diliberate, a mistreated employee certainly will not have the care in prep and service that I would like to have. Shame on the employer. They may own the business but they would have no business without employees and customers.

I wouldn’t. I wouldn’t want to put money in the owner’s pocket knowing he/she isn’t a very good person. I would take my business elsewhere.

    Definitely not.
If the owner treats his staff badly then he/she does not deserve to be in business.
Or do they believe they are living in Dickensian England.

I would have to see it for myself, say, yelling at the employees, in front of us. Then I would say "if thats the way you are going to treat your employees, don’t expect us back". I would definately say something. It’s not going to hurt me!
I work at a restaurant, and the owner yelled at one of the waitresses, and we have a customer that won’t come in because of it. And I agree full heartedly with him. But the owner knows it too, and he doesn’t yell at the waitresses anymore. He "suggests" now!

Nice service equals nice food, so I woulnt dine there if they were treated badly.
I would go and tell them there worth more than that so should get a different job.
