Where to dine in AZ for our one year anniversary?

Posted on November 10th, 2009 by admin

We would like a romantic place, maybe some jazz, or piano. Our anniversary is Monday. We live in the Gilbert area and don’t mind traveling. We are expecting so we have set a budget of $100. Thanks for the help.

Hey! Happy Anniversary! If you have a budget of $100, then you probably dont want to go into Phoenix. I know they have some piano bars there where you can sit, eat, and listen to live music. I would recommend THE MELTING POT. If you havent been there, you should definitely go. It is a fondue restaurant, so its kinda fun, and they have private booths . Its fun, romantic, and about in your price range. There is one on Chandler Blvd across the street from the mall. So its not too far. Anyway, hope you have fun wherever you decide to go!

Go to http://www.restaurant.com and you can print out $25 dining certificates for no more then $10. Sign up with them and you will get offers for 50% to 60% off of the $10. They list all the restaurants by name and there is a nice description of them and some pics. They usually have a link directly to the restaurant and a sample menu. We have used those certificates for many years..they are great. They have restaurants listed for hundreds of cities.

I could tell you about a few of my favs, but when we are looking for something new we go to http://www.azcentral.com/ent/dining/ first. You can search by city, cuisine, pretty much anything. You can see menu’s, read user’s reviews, all kinds of stuff. Good luck and congrats!

for dinner in a really nice, and exellent food, place go to "house berlin" in wickenburg. very small (reservation recommended)
but the best food between san anton and san diego
P.S. Call, they are closed either on monday or wednesday, not sure. really nice and inexpensive motel just up the road walking distance and one of the best wine (and beer ;-) ) )
lists in the west….a typical berliner(german)restaurant, the owner is fom berlin east, (behind the iron curtain) and boy he can cook

I would suggest either Flemings (Ray & I10) or Va Bene (Chandler & 48th St)

My favorite place to go for special occasions is Coup des Tartes. I went there for my 1 year anniversary last year. The service is great, the food is amazing and it’s a wonderful environment. It’s french food and the restaurant is in a historic house on 16th St and Highland. I would recommend making a reservation and we spend usually $80-100 for the 2 of us. You can bring in your own drinks since they don’t offer beer, wine, etc. They don’t have any live music, but still a great environment. It’s getting warmer too so you might be able to sit on the patio which is nice.
