Story Time 2008
Posted on August 14th, 2009 by admin
Sharing with you some words from one of my favourite artists ‘Jim Dine’. I am reading what he has to say about drawing!
I think there is some really good stuff to learn from him so i want to share it with you.
I think everyone who wants to draw or learn how to draw should be told about Jim Dine! His work blows away the notions of being pretty and perfect!

That was quite …
That was quite interesting..much food for thought. Always interesting to look into the inner workings of another artist. I can definitely see his influence in your works. Thanks for sharing a snippet of this book. Isn’t it cool when you connect with something someone expresses and you can’t wait to share it with others??…others who “get it”!! You are a truly generous soul Gary.

Love Dine, never …
Love Dine, never read this. Thanks a lot for reading it for us — really great stuff. “Emotion gets in the way of realism”:-) Ain’t it the truth.
someone (maybe you know who) said that once you put a mark on the paper (canvas, whatever), you’ve started a dialogue. I find that really true for myself.
I also really liked the bit abt a “mistake” being a new beginning. YES!!!!
